What are the promises that you would always keep? What are the promises you wish you had not made?
Sia Sharma has a secret - a memory of a promise that she keeps close to her heart. But when her best friend Raunak calls her for his wedding, Sia realizes that it has been more than a decade and she had not seen any of her schoolmates. Just hearing his voice brings back memories of a tender love story - and promises that were made and locked between two souls.

Who was the mysterious Dev, and what had bonded him with Sia?

And how do the events from those years decide her present?

Story

A sweet and short love story of Sia, an introvert girl, who falls in love with her classmate at a very young age. It is the age when almost every person gets attracted to someone. On the other hand, it is the age when we are scared of our parents' and try to make sure that nothing goes out of hand. The same was the case with Sia. She was scared of her guardian and that made her stop from accepting her love for Dev until one day when Dev asked her for the reply. Sia made sure that the relationship will be kept as a secret and Dev promised her. It was the first locked promise of their love story. But as the coin has another side too, Sia, was called by her parents' to get back to Delhi and that made a full stop to her story. But one day, almost after a decade, her colleague asked her to get on Facebook. She got connected to her school time good friend, Raunak. The next day, she received an unexpected call from Dev. It ended with a lot of harsh words and a locked promise from Sia. What was the promise from Sia that restricted her to attend the marriage of her friend? Read the book to know!

Review

I really like reading love stories and this story connects well with me. It is a story that has happened to most of the people of this generation. It is just a 29 pages story which one could end in an hour or two. Though the book says it is fictional but still the feelings and character in the book that the author has drawn is real and connecting.

Book Cover & Title- The book cover and title are appropriate and according to the title and story of the book. Even the last line of the story justifies both of them. Kudos to the author for coming up with such a meaningful title that tells you at the starting only that the book is going to have promises which remained fulfilled.

Narration, Editing, and Language- I really didn't find any editing mistakes in the book. Narration and language were also simple and justifying.

Likes -
# Title of the story.
# Cover.
# Sia and Dev as they both fulfilled their promises no matter what happened.

Overall, it is a very nice short story full of emotions and beautiful characters. I really wished that it could go a little more but still, the author taught us a lot in so little words. I never got the chance to read earlier works of the author but after reading this book, I really want to get my hands on them soon.
