Blurb:

When people we love pass away, they only take their presence with them. They leave their memories with us.

The story revolves around ‘Alia’, an emotionally distant woman, and how the lives of four elderly strangers impact her own very deeply, bringing about a change in the way she treats herself and those around her. As the clock begins to tick and they each start to die, leaving their stories behind for her to learn from, she finds that the depression and trauma caused by their loss have left with her the gift of a lifetime... Realisation.
In the tale of life, death and the ride in between, where there are always mistakes and never second chances, there is only one question.
Can you make it through without regrets?

Review:

Loads of lessons could be learned. Turning back time, a novel focuses much on social issues, which are prevailing in the country. It talks about various orthodox behaviors, thoughts which are still in mind of people though it is almost zero in part of Urban areas but still there is orthodox thinking in the rural INDIA. Story starts with the introduction of the Alia. Alia, a 25 years old girl who works at two places to get two times meals for her mother and herself. She works as a caretaker at a private hospital and giving company and taking care of elder in an old age home is her second job. Alia usually shares most of the thing with the people at the old age home and spending no time with her mother is her daily routine. One day, Raman, a resident of the old age home died and left a diary for Alia. Diary consists of various experiences that he had faced throughout his life.

Women in India are taken as granted, though the time is changing now a days but there was a time when they were not given a choice; they had to get married at very small age and girl's education was negligible.

There comes a time in everybody's life when one regrets of the time that he had lost. A time when we wanted to get back, a time which could have been different, as the title says, the books talks on the same subject. There are 4 different stories which are told to Alia, for different-different reasons and in some way it will inspire us too. Author had done her homework and it could be seen in the novel. Writing is very simple and easy, there are no grammatical mistakes. But some things are used in almost all those stories which makes it a little unsatisfactory. Cover and blurb of the book makes it more interesting and no title can be better than this.

Like-
1) Plot.
2) 4 Stories.
3) Immortal love of Girish.

I dislike-
1) Nothing.

I would love to recommend this book to everybody so that one can feel the words of the writer and the pain of the dead ones, who wanted to get back to their old time and fix it. Turning back time will not let you down surely.

Congratulations to Shravya for the debut novel and I wish you a great success ahead and to the Publisher, who never compromises on quality.
