“So you don’t like mysteries! Isn’t it?” Fotu-Babu was outrageous all of a
sudden. “Then listen to it straightway you son-of-a-bitch. You are not my son. You are the product of a heinous act of your mother and what a whore she is!”
Boltu felt his body going limp.

Boltu was in his late teens when he discovered this rancorous truth of his life.

By that time he had already been an antisocial, an outlaw and had been in

bad company; but there was a subtle difference- he was a dreamer, he was a

tender lover, he could sing and he had a true friend in Madhab. He wished to

do something worthwhile; yet he lacked direction. Would Boltu keep drifting

aimlessly? Or would he find his destination? Whether the destination would be

worth its salt?

Review:

INSPIRATIONAL story out of the box this time! Story starts with the introduction of Boltu, a Bengali boy from Rajgangpur, whose father is a criminal. Not only his father, but he himself also do some pick pocketing for his livelihood. Once he with his friends tries something bigger than these small crimes. They made a plan to rob a house of a rich doctor but at the time of leaving house, he was stuck there when he saw the doctor in unconscious state. Boltu is an inspirational character in the story, till the end, he never fails to inspire. Starting of the story is common but as the story progresses, interest starts building up. The story doesn’t just tell how to change yourself but also to love and grow. Author did a justice to the character and the small chapters made it easy for me to remember the last one. Narration and language is easy but just before the end, it was little boring as I think the author stretched the story there and he kept the ending short. But overall, the book is good. And if anybody feels that he is not at the right stage of his life, he should start reading this book.
Congratulations to the author for coming up with ‘motivator’ (it is not just a book but a life).

I Like-
Character Boltu.
    Doctor and the wife.
    Friend of Boltu.

I Dislike-
    Character of Fotu-Babu.
    A part before the ending.
